Moral Degeneration of Youth: Causes and Remedies.
The power of youth is one of the endless blessings given by Allah in the world. The three stages of normal human life are childhood, youth and old age. Youth is the best. The youth is the future leader of the country and the nation, the source of endless vitality. They are the wealth of the country and the nation. Ignoring the hundreds of storms and the black claws of cancellation, they can move forward with heroism in establishing the rule of truth, justice and revelation. Only the youth can free the family, society and the country from superstition and establish the golden society of Ahi.
From the beginning of creation till today, the world has benefited from the ideal youth. Prophet Muhammad (sm) has won other battles including Badr, Uhud, Khandak, Tabuk with the Jannat Piasi Taqwashil youth. Therefore, he referred to this important time of youth as Ganimat and urged to evaluate it properly. Rasulullah (sm) went to give advice to a person and said..Think of five objects as spoils before five objects. Namely- (1) youth before your old age, (2) well-being before suffering, (3) affluence before poverty, (4) retirement before busyness, (5) life before death.
Again, as many misdeeds have been committed in the world by the misguided and morally degraded youth, many civilizations have been destroyed. So it can be said that the decline of the youth is the decline of the nation. Therefore, effective measures are needed to prevent the decline and decline of the youth. InshaAllah, I will try to highlight the causes and remedies of the moral degradation of the youth in this article.
The cause of the moral decline of the youth
There are many reasons for the moral decline of the youth. Some of the notable reasons are mentioned below.
1. Political instability: Political instability, frequent change of government, administrative arbitrariness. On the other hand, strikes, strikes, blockades, etc. are going on. In these cases, destructive activities are being carried out by the youth. Corrupt politicians are cultivating flattering and terrorist batons by spending money illegally to maintain their influence or for political gain. The youth is being used in this work. They are committing various crimes in the greed of money and power. Thus, corrupt politics is pushing the youth to the brink of destruction.
2. Influence of foreign culture: Culture is the external sophisticated form of culture practiced by human beings. If it is developed in the light of Tawheed, Prophethood and belief in the Hereafter under the guidance of Shariah, then it is culture in the true sense. Everything outside of it is ruined and subculture. At present, the influence of corrupt culture is evident among the youth, which is pushing them towards moral degradation.
Among the foreign cultures, Valentine's Day, Thirty First Night, New Year's celebrations, etc., are full of extravagance and arrogance. In these programs, the insane dancing and singing of young men and women is destroying the character of the youth.
At present, the role of media like satellite, internet, Facebook etc. is very much in destroying the youth. The Western world is spreading obscenity through satellites with the intention of destroying the Muslim nation. Sexually explicit pornographic content via satellite, internet and Facebook, foreign music, dance performances, dazzling pictures of naked and half-naked women are creating horrible sexual arousal among young men and women. As a result, killings, kidnappings, robberies, terrorism, acid attacks and rapes are spreading disgustingly across the country. That is why the Prime Minister of Malaysia, while addressing the UN General Assembly, said, "The Western world is spreading pornographic and violent pictures all over the world through the online." It is no less dangerous than carbon-di-oxide emissions and drug smuggling. They must stop the widespread use of the Internet. The exclusive rights of the so-called world media must be curtailed. He added, "Not only are distorted images being promoted in the media, our perceptions are also being undermined." In the past, Western missionaries were engaged in philosophy. At present, the media is destroying our desired values and culture.
Movies made in the name of entertainment are full of pornographic pictures, dances, fights and weird stories. On the one hand, pornographic programs on TV are destroying the character of children and teenagers, on the other hand, they are destroying their future lives. It is isolating them from the society. They think about the fabricated story of the movie. By doing so, their aqeedah is destroyed and their shame is removed. On the other hand, talent and intelligence are lost.
Britain's former health minister says TV's sexually explicit programs have had a devastating effect on children and young people. According to him, the government should have control over the broadcasting of television programs. At the same time, parents need to be in control of children, adolescents and young people so that they do not go beyond certain boundaries.
The Western world is waging a cultural aggression with the help of electronic media to destroy the Muslim youth. In order to strengthen this aggression, they have been using it recklessly, keeping production and control in their hands. In this context, Michael Kunezik, one of the sociologists, said that cultural imperialism through communication is a vital process for securing and maintaining economic domination and political hegemoni over others (Television is the Third World). Establishing cultural imperialism with the help of media is an important process. With the help of satellite dish antennas, all aspects of the apostate, sensual consumerist life of the West have entered the inner circle of Muslims today.
3. Newspapers: Another reason for the moral decline of the youth is the periodicals. A class of self-indulgent Western media workers and journalists are publishing obscene stories of illicit relationships between men and women and the love of young men and women all over the world through the news. Entertainment page is publishing nude, half-naked pictures of heroes and heroines and singers in such a way that it creates sexual tingling in the minds of the youth. As a result, they get excited and set foot on the dirty path. Besides, there is a proliferation of newspapers and books with obscene and vulgar pictures everywhere. Its evil influence is destroying the youth.
4. Clothing and lack of veil: At present, young men and women are walking around naked and half-naked after dressing in imitation of infidels for the sake of progress. Young men with long hair, wearing various metal bracelets and gold chains, unbuttoning their Punjabi shirts and carrying cigarettes around. Again the girls are wearing skin tight pants-shirts of jeans. Some are walking around wearing thin clothes like mosquito nets. In this, the high and low places of their body are being revealed in front of the youth. Again many young girls are riding bicycles, Honda after wearing shortcut clothes. These arrogance are misleading the youth.
5. Drugs: In today's world, tobacco products and drugs are more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Which is constantly destroying the lives of our youth; It is destroying the foundation of family, society and state. At the same time, the drug trade has become the third largest and most lucrative business in the world, and smugglers are increasingly turning to this business. Moreover, due to its geographical location and administrative weakness, Bangladesh has become an international route for drug trafficking. In addition, neighboring countries have deliberately set up numerous heroin and phencyclidine factories on their borders to destroy the country's young people, and all the drugs produced there are being smuggled into the country through smuggling syndicates from both countries. In addition, drugs are being imported and exported to the country through at least 30 routes by land, sea and air. [6] Drugs are harming the youth of the country in every way. Bidi-cigarette smoke contains about 4,000 chemicals and toxins, including nicotine. This is why nicotine is called a 'killer'. One study found that 98 percent of drug addicts enter the world through smoking. Young people are addicted to smoking by their friends, some by hobbies and some by depression. One hundred percent of this smoking is harmful. Smoking is a thing that neither satisfies hunger nor nourishment; But these are the symbols of modernity to the present youth. Through these, the youth are being harmed physically, mentally, socially and economically. The body of the youth is being broken through drugs and the house is also being broken. Therefore, alcohol is the most important cause of broken bones and broken homes. That is, alcohol is a substance that breaks bones and breaks houses. Because he got drunk all night and returned home exhausted. Meanwhile, his beloved wife fell asleep while waiting for food for him. Doubt arises as a result of its repetition day after day. Unrest started in the world. Family life became miserable. The end result is separation.
6. Sangdosha: In words, iron floats in Sangdosha. The influence of friends and companions in personal life plays a huge role in the moral upliftment and degradation of the youth. Falling into the clutches of friends and comrades, the simple-minded friend at first tasted a little bit of smoking and alcohol and eventually turned into a closed drunk. Falling in the company of friends, he became involved in singing, watching TV, watching movies, chatting and even committing adultery. So Allah the Almighty instructed us to stay with honest friends and truthful companions,,‘O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with the truthful '(Tawba 9/119).
7. Defective education system: The conventional education system in the country is largely responsible for the moral degradation of the youth. There are no steps in the education system to build moral character, faith, aqeedah, correct deeds and warn about the Hereafter, death, grave and Paradise-Hell. Again, this education system is irreligious. But the main reason for the moral decline of the youth is the lack of proper religious education. "If you teach your children three rupees (Reading, Writing and Arithmetics) and leave the fourth 'R' (Religion) you will get the fifth 'R' Rascale," said Stanly Hall. ‘If you teach your child three‘ R’s ’(reading, writing, arithmetic) and omitting the fourth‘ R ’(religion), you will get a fifth‘ R ’(badass).
In addition, the two-way education system introduced in the country under the name of Madrasa Education and General Education was introduced in 1936 by the British government of Lord McCall. They wanted to divide the educated class of the Muslim Ummah into two sections by introducing the education system they adopted in favor of the 'divide and rule' policy. Their main objective was to deter the educated in general education from the anti-British jihad and freedom movement by trapping them in the trap of knight-nawab, khan-bahadur etc. and government jobs and opportunities. On the other hand, they were active in depriving the madrasa educated people of their opportunities and turning them away from religious education. In that continuity, the committees formed by the previous governments of Bangladesh at different times have shown that the main target of all of them was to curtail Islamic education. As a result, due to lack of religious education, this nation has become a morally degraded and corrupt nation.
In Malaysia, a 50 percent Muslim-majority country, religious education is compulsory up to the highest level of education. As a result, Malaysia is developed in all areas today. However, Islamic education is the most neglected in 90% Muslim-majority Bangladesh. As a result, we are in a state of decline today.
Co-education is now another major tool in the moral decline of the youth. As a result, students in schools, colleges, madrasas and universities are getting the opportunity to mix and match freely. Their character is being destroyed by the opportunity of this free association, they are getting involved in adultery.
There are three main pillars of education management; Teachers, students and management committee. These three areas have become tainted due to the poisonous touch of party politics. In all cases, the party aspect is now the main consideration. Earlier, teachers were respected by all. Now they have come down to the level of brother and friend of their group students. Students and teachers of opposing views are considered to be openly or secretly opposed to each other. The neutrality of giving numbers in the register is not seen in many cases now for fear of bloodshed of partisan student leaders. Even in important educational institutions like medical colleges, teachers are being forced to pass the exam with unethical marks or in many cases without oral examination. They will kill the patient in the name of treatment two days after taking the degree. Colleges and universities can no longer be called the cradle of talent. Rather, they have now become centers of political partisanship and party affiliation. Moreover, the committee management includes electoral system and grouping in the name of democracy.
Some of these young people are being deprived of real education and are facing destruction. Parents are reluctant to send their children to the country's top educational institutions. Because today, instead of education, the academies have been thrown into the coral grass of arms-dependent, tender-dependent, power-dependent, admission trade, seat-occupying, hall-occupying, drug-dependent and female-dominated incompetent student politics. As a result, the sacred campus of one time has turned into a sea of blood today. Has turned into a coffin of corpses. The session has turned into a tangled factory. Poor, innocent, meritorious students are falling prey to meritless student parliament and selfish student politics and are losing everything in life.
9. Administrative Weakness: Due to administrative weakness, the youth are sinking into the abyss of moral degradation. The administration is approving brothels under the pressure of greed for money and unjust political leaders. Rumors of alcohol, gambling, lottery, etc. are going on through administrative approval. Despite committing a crime, a class of youths are swarming the administration officials with money. As a result, crime is increasing in the society.
In addition, due to corruption, lack of skills and qualifications of the police, limited capacity and helplessness, etc., the limitations of law enforcement agencies gradually increased. As a result, terrorism and the number of terrorists also increased. Moreover, terrorism, corruption, crime, etc. increase if the intelligence agencies do not take appropriate action even after being informed of inactivity or higher authorities. Due to the weakness and negligence of the administration, the terrorists took their seats.
10. Social factors: The social impact of the moral decline of the youth is also particularly noticeable. Evil influences of social norms, erosion of values, social instability, lack of opportunities and unequal distribution, deception, etc. motivate the youth to set foot on the path of destruction. At the instigation of the influential elites, the youth have once again become victims of injustice and oppression of the influential elites and have resorted to terrorism in order to take advantage of them.
11. Economic reasons: Economic hardship accelerates the moral degradation of the youth. Failure to keep pace with the times can lead to frustration in life. Many young people are not getting proper employment even after getting a degree from the highest educational institution of the country. Due to usury, bribery, corruption, partisanship, etc., it has become very difficult to earn a living in a just way. Again, poverty, unemployment, unequal distribution of wealth,
As a result of abnormal price rise, production and distribution inequality, theft, robbery, robbery, etc., a class of people in the society is exploiting money and swell like a leech. Another class of people is being pacified. As a result, crime is increasing through the youth.
12. Family reasons: Many young men and women are ruined because of their parents. There are many parents who are very careful in their kalema, salat, shiam, hajj, zakat, tahajjud etc. But his young sons and daughters do not follow Islamic rules, they do not inquire about where they spend the night, when they return home, when they go to the educational institution. When asked to discipline a child at a young age, they say, it will get better when it grows up. When they grow up, they say, they don't listen to us, we can't be with them now, and so on. Because of these parents, young men and women are ruined. Again, when parents become addicted, it naturally affects the child. In the same way, if the elder brother or sister is a bitch, then the younger ones will follow the immoral path.
13. International Reason: At present, the most acceptable way to destroy a country is to strategically make that country a terrorist or to impose a terrorist charge on that country. In this way, the ferocious hyena-like imperialist clique can play with the country as they wish and easily seize the natural resources of that country. In this conspiracy, the international imperialist clique, in order to spread its dominance in the neighboring country or any other country in the world, incites the youth of that country to carry out terrorist activities with money, various facilities, weapons, intellectual property, etc. In this way, the unscrupulous youth fell into the clutches of the international conspirators and set foot on the path of destruction.
